Desperation sewing

I'm in the pits of black depression and desperately homesick.  It's been a crappy week and this is all I have to show.  It's not that I don't have things I want to sew, it's just that I can't get out of my own way to pick a pattern, pick a fabric and sew.  In an attempt to kick start something, I went for instant gratification.  This stripe fabric was leftover from a top I made for a red, black and white travel wardrobe in late 2010.  I had just enough to eke out this top from my TNT KS3338, although I had to cut the sleeves the wrong way.  Fortunately there is plenty of stretch.   I may sit down and write a sewing plan tonight and given that I'm barely sleeping at the moment, it will give me something to do.

sorry to hear things are so rough. the stripy fabric looks like fun though so it might liven things up for you as you negotiate this hump.

Also sorry to hear that the week-that-was wasn't the best. Fingers crossed next week is a tad better. Love the binding on this neckline...could you explain how it is attached when you have a spare moment!!!

That top is nice desperation sewing. I think I'm suffering from the same illness as you. Just having problems wrapping my mind around my next projects. It seems that you do so well when you are sewing with a plan - me not so much. But I have got to get something started - I NEED CLOTHES!

Well, you sure won't look desperate in this! I'm sorry you're down- hopeful a nice turn will occur and get you back to a peak where you belong.

I am sorry to hear that you are feeling so low. I really enjoy your blog and your posts do brighten my day!
People always say that exercise and fresh air is a help, but I find doing something creative like sewing is just as good, perhaps better for me.
I like your red top. A long sleeved, striped top is always useful. And it's great to use up a left over bit of fabric too.

Sorry to hear that things aren't so bright. Could be the lack of sunshine. Hope tomorrow is better.

Love the stripes and hope that it gives you a lift and that this week is a better, take care.
I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well--hopefully these bright stripes and just getting something done will help a little.
